I wasn’t born in Texas. I chose Texas.
Born and raised in Southern California, where I watched firsthand how overreaching government regulations and rising taxes slowly stripped away freedoms from everyday families and small businesses. Policies that were meant to “help” often ended up making life harder for the people just trying to work, raise kids, and build a future.
As a husband and father, the COVID lockdowns were a turning point for me. I saw what happens when government decisions reach too far into daily life. Businesses were forced to close. Kids were isolated from their classmates. Families were separated from their church communities. Neighbors were pressured to turn on neighbors. The freedom to make personal decisions was replaced with fear of being judged or shut out.
That wasn’t the America I wanted my kids to grow up in.
So, within 90 days, in 2021, my family and I made a life-changing decision. We packed up, moved across the country, and came to Texas, the land of freedom, personal responsibility, and community.
We didn’t come here to change Texas.
We came here because we believe in what Texas stands for.
Our first experience of living in Texas, was the city of Frisco. Living there three years, we realized the traffic and high-density home development wasn’t what we were looking for in Texas.
So, the search began.
After visiting a handful of cities, we found ourselves in Justin. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was the place where we wanted to plant our roots.
Justin represents what so many small towns across America are losing. A strong community, local control, family values, and neighbors who still look out for one another.
I’m running for City Council because I want to protect what makes Justin special.
Local government should serve the people, not control them. It should focus on keeping our city safe, fiscally responsible, business friendly, and family first. We can grow Justin without losing its small-town charm. We can plan for the future without burdening families with higher taxes or unnecessary regulations. And we can lead with common sense instead of politics.
I’m not a politician. I’m a husband, a father, a neighbor, and someone who chose Justin because I believe this city is worth protecting.
And I’m ready to fight for each of us in Justin.
